Carolina has brought a number of wonderful humans into my life that have enhanced my experiences as a scholar – from dedicated undergraduates ready to dive into the undergraduate research experience to faculty and staff willing to collaborate on projects of great impact to diverse communities ranging from the family science field to local Latinx parents in the state of NC.

What is your hidden talent?

I am a drummer!!! A self-taught drummer who began learning at the young age of 8.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

I would tell my younger self to trust my abilities, to trust my intuition, and not be afraid to explore and pursue any areas of interest.
