The Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was established April 2nd, 2020.

ALPFA’s mission is to empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation, in every sector of the global economy.

Currently, Latinx students are urging for easier access to networks and professional development workshops that would help them build their professional skills and have a successful transition from college into the workplace. ALPFA offers that and more by giving students, of all ethnic groups, a greater connection to Latinx professionals by offering a large pool of networks and an extensive variety of partnerships with big companies.

Our motivation towards beginning an ALPFA chapter on campus began with the simple goal of equipping Latinx students for success in both the academic and career realm. We stand behind our values and our desire to equip our Latinx students with the necessary skills to be competent and successful in their future endeavors. We will incorporate our mission into our programs, activities, and/or services by offering high quality and legitimate services complementary to leading with integrity. As members of the Latinx community, it is our hope to acquire these advantageous skills and pay it forward to others in our community.

With a network of over 92,000 national Latinx professionals and access to a wide pool of resources, ALPFA members will surely be on the path to success. Our members will gain competencies in professionalism, resume and cover letter building, financial literacy, and opportunities to explore different job sectors in the labor market.
