Meet Student Organization: BRASA

BRASA’s mission on campus is to foster the involvement and integration of Brazilian students in the UNC-Chapel Hill community. The goals of BRASA are to promote the Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language, provide assistance with the application process for prospective students, organize events and panels within the BRASA community as well as with other local BRASAs (both regional and national), and to ultimately offer networking opportunities, including professional and academic exchange programs with leading Brazilian institutions. The Brazilian Student Association membership is open to any student who was born in Brazil, has Brazilian relatives, can speak the country’s official language (Portuguese), and are active students at UNC-Chapel Hill.
