Overview

This program is an exciting collaboration between the Carolina Latinx Center and the Study Abroad Office, made possible by a generous donation. It is tailored for first and second-year Latinx students, as well as students who are interested in learning about Latinx history and culture, but have limited travel experience and demonstrated financial need. The program provides an opportunity for students to take their first step towards a lifelong journey of global engagement.

Students will participate in an immersive 10-day program in Puerto Rico. Through site visits, lectures, readings, projects, reflection papers, daily group discussions, and a post-program presentation, students will demonstrate an understanding of Puerto Rican history, culture, and traditions.
