We know it’s that time of year! Midterms, weather changes, flu season, and life are all crashing into one another. Take some time for your mental health with our collaborative program with CAPS at the CLC!

Mental Health Speaks gives you the opportunity to engage in honest and meaningful dialogue about mental health every first Monday of the month with Faye Hobgood, MSW, LCSW from the UNC CAPS Multicultural Health Program. This space is meant to be safe and supportive, and it is specifically for you! During this time, you can share about your experiences and receive support; explore ways to care for your mental health while pursuing academic excellence; and connect with others with a shared identity who may have similar experiences and challenges.

When: Mondays, 10/3/2022, 11/7/2022, and 12/5/2022 from 4:30PM-6:00PM

Where: The Carolina Latinx Center, La Sala

Are you in need of a mental health check-in? What about a wellness hour? Then, look no further! Faye Hobgood, MSW, LCSW from the UNC CAPS Multicultural Health Program would like to invite you to a one-hour drop-in space every third Monday of the month this semester. Here you will have the opportunity to discuss issues impacting your mental health, identify helpful and effective coping strategies, and engage in self-care planning.

When: Mondays, 10/17 and 11/21/2022 from 3:30PM-4:30PM

Where: The Carolina Latinx Center, La Sala
