The Carolina Latinx Center is excited to announce applications to LÍDER: Carolina Leadership Institute, check back soon to see when it opens. In partnership with Kenan-Flagler’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Office this is a year-long experience, highly interactive leadership development program for Latinx rising juniors at colleges in the Triangle.

The LÍDER Fellows will gain a greater understanding of the self as a leader. Through a series of workshops, participants will learn frameworks useful in leadership environments at school and in their community. By the end the Fellows will leave feeling empowered, understanding that they do not have to check their identity at the door to be a leader. And will have expanded their network across the Triangle.

Three Pillars:

  • Leadership Development through the development of self-awareness and interpersonal awareness
  • Fellowship Building through a celebration of diversity, inclusion, and integrity
  • Community Engagement through purposeful innovation to better our community

Please encourage students to participate. If you have any questions about the program, please contact, Marcela Torres-Cervantes, CLC assistant director at marcela@unc.edu or Kevin Ortiz, Líder Coordinator at kevin_ortiz@kenan-flagler.unc.edu
