La Conferencia
La Conferencia provides a space for students, staff, faculty, and their allies to network and create a discourse about access, social development, education, positive communication, and cross-cultural understanding in a community-centered setting. It allows people to convene annually to have critical dialogue and exchange information in order to empower the next generation of thinkers and leaders.

Latinx Heritage Month
From September 15 to October 15, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill celebrates Latinx Heritage Month. This event recognizes the contributions made by Latino Americans to the United States and celebrates their heritage and cultures.

El Inicio
The CLC invites current students, campus partners, and other families to join us in welcoming new students to campus and answering questions about life as a Tar Heel in a Spanish/English-friendly environment.
Academic

Pulso Scholars Program
Pulso Scholars program is a comprehensive pipeline program specially designed to promote academic and professional success among Carolina students interested in medical school and other health professions. Scholars participate in a series of workshops aimed at providing academic, professional, and cultural development and overall preparation to apply to medical school or other health-related programs.

Latinx Research Initiative
The Latinx Research Initiative, supported by the Carolina Latinx Center, aims to foster increased representation in academia through research engagement and research projects. Our one-year fellowship program is dedicated to breaking down barriers hindering students’ research involvement and research initiatives, creating an inclusive scholarly environment, paving the way for academic careers, and collaborating on crucial research projects.

Exploradores Globales
This program is an exciting collaboration between the CLC and the Study Abroad Office. It is tailored for first and second-year students, as well as students who are interested in learning about Latin American history and culture but have limited travel experience and demonstrated financial need. The program provides an opportunity for students to take their first step towards a lifelong journey of global engagement.

Enlaces: CLC Volunteer Corps
ENLACES is a program launched by the CLC to engage students in the representation of the center. The volunteer efforts take place within the UNC community and beyond into Chapel Hill and the surrounding cities.

Latino Leadership Alliance
The Alliance centers itself around the virtues of mutual support, belonging, and visibility for its members and the greater community as an organized body of student leaders; serving as a resource and open space for all Latino-serving student organizations to more effectively collaborate and create an impact on campus.

LÍDER: Carolina Leadership Institute
The Carolina Leadership Institute is a year-long, highly interactive leadership development program for all undergraduate students throughout the state of North Carolina with an interest in culture and community.
