What better way to continue celebrating Latinx Heritage Month than with some Churros y Chisme? That is exactly what the Carolina Latinx Center did on September 21st at Epilogue Books Chocolate Brews, located on Franklin Street. At 12:30 p.m., the CLC welcomed students to some good churros and conversation. All who walked in were welcomed towards the back of Epilogue to our vibrant CLC table to check-in and grab a churro voucher. We must say that for a bookstore the churros were nothing but warm, fresh, sweet, and fried to perfection.

After students collected their free churro, they made their way over to the back seating area where socialization and laughter was inevitable. Shortly after, our assistant director, Marcela, started the event and kicked off with some questions such as, “how has everyone’s year been” and “how has the transition back to college been for everyone.” These questions sparked meaningful conversations which led to natural communication and conversation to follow. It was great being able to host this momentous event at Epilogue and we hope to work with them again!
